On the heels of its Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, the IEEE-USA team made its way to Florida to offer critical communications and technology support to communities in need following the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. The team on the ground will be working closely with the Red Cross, and will help with disaster service technology support.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Irma has now been downgraded to a “tropical depression,” after causing catastrophic damage to islands in the Caribbean, as well as to cities throughout Florida and Georgia.
