IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is dedicated to inspiring, engaging and advancing women in technical disciplines.

The mission of the IEEE WIE International Leadership Conference is to inspire, engage, and advance women in engineering and provide leading edge professional development for midlevel and senior women. The focus of the 2015 conference was “Lead Beyond — Accelerating Innovative Women Who Change the World.” The conference attracted over 700 attendees from 41 different countries and doubled in participation from 2014.

The 2016 WIE International Leadership Conference was held in May in San Jose, California. The 1,164 attendees from over 40 countries were joined by 112 speakers, including keynotes from Marni Walden, Executive Vice President of Product and New Business Innovation, at Verizon, and Liz Centoni, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Computing Systems Product Group, at Cisco. The conference is rapidly becoming one of the flagship events for women in technology
