There’s no such thing as a dull day in the world of wearables.
There’s no such thing as a dull day in the world of wearables. Consumer products continue to grow smarter, with developers like Android, Apple and Samsung paying particular attention to one everyday accessory: the watch.
Worlds have now collided with a collaboration between tech giant Android and luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer. As Engadget reported earlier this year, Tag Heuer will be working with Google to create the luxury device, with plans for it to be powered by Intel technology. The device is expected to maintain the Tag Heuer design integrity, and will be released toward the end of this year.
Tag Heuer isn’t the only luxury brand that’s partnered with Google. In the age of Google Glass, designer Diane Von Furstenberg added fashion-forward flair to the smart specs, which were available via Google, NET-A-PORTER and DVF stores.
While Google Glass has come and gone, we hope to see partnerships between tech and consumer brands continue to grow in a way that improves the quality of everyday life.
