The doors are open at CES 2017, and intelligent transportation is shaping up to be one of the biggest draws at the show. But driverless cars aren’t the only smart solutions in the spotlight, the Sands Expo is full of connected accessories for cyclists including smart helmets, hats, and smart bikes.
Unlike many of the wearables on display, the smart bikes and their compatible accessories offer features like image capture, smart lighting, safety features for SOS alerts, phone connectivity and walkie-talkie functionality.
Cycling purists won’t be put off by the sensor-filled helmets, like those from Livall. They’re relatively light-weight, and the app helps track metrics that balance performance with safety and scenic experience.
