Q: How do you think IEEE benefits your profession? The world?

A: IEEE provides a unique environment for people from all walks of life, from every region of the world, and from every possible culture and background to come together as equal partners to collaborate, share and learn from one another with the goal of continuing to promote the development of technology for the betterment of humanity. In my more than 20 years of engagement in IEEE, I have had the privilege and pleasure of interacting with some of the best engineers in the world from every continent, both women and men, and thus been truly lucky to have been able to learn from them all and to have had the opportunity work alongside them on various international task forces, working groups and committees to consult on the various facets of power and energy engineering.
