Q: What inspired you to become an engineer? Were you always interested in technology? If so, why? If not, when did you become interested and why?
A: As an engineering student, I only knew I enjoyed learning about computers including both the hardware and software. It wasn’t until I joined the IEEE that I had access to professionals that shared their experiences in the many ways engineering can change lives and benefit humanity through the use of technology. Furthermore, I had no idea that every other discipline, whether it be art or psychology, can be enriched to help people innovate, understand the world around us and humanity… Now, every project my team embarks on is motivated by some societal issue or humanitarian challenge.
