IEEE has chosen the winner of its 2015 IEEE DIY Project.
Please join us in congratulating Usman Maqsood and his team, Amir Salman and Reeba Raza, who won for their EcoSens, Wireless Sensor and Actuation Network project.
The winning project was created to monitor and control environmental conditions that can adversely affect the comfort of life.
The EcoSens system is a wirelessly distributed monitoring and control system with nodes to monitor fluctuation in the environment and also control it. This system can be used to reduce the number of seasonal colds and flus. This network for environmental monitoring and control would be perfect for high rise buildings like offices, apartments, hotels, hospitals chemical, material, pharmaceutical and textile industries along with laboratories.
We’d like to extend our thanks to all who submitted their DIY projects.
All submissions were judged based on originality, innovation and potential benefit to humanity.
