What advice would you give to young technologists on how to get the most out of the IEEE membership experience?
Subscribe to the newsletters of the IEEE societies and communities you are interested in. The first step to getting involved with IEEE is simply knowing what opportunities are out there. Beyond that, be proactive and have the courage to reach out to fellow IEEE members and volunteers. Most are genuinely eager to help you find a place to contribute. The more proactive you are in seeking volunteer or leadership opportunities, the more often such opportunities will find their way to you.
What intrigues you right now?
My professional career is heavily focused on cloud technology, and I’d like to see more people harnessing its benefits and accelerating the journey from idea to real-world deployment and adoption. I’m helping to grow this awareness by partnering with schools and colleges to expand cloud technology coverage in their curricula, sharing practical tips and lessons with technology advisors and practitioners on how to properly adopt cloud technology and contributing to industry publications and reference materials that others can use as they evaluate their own cloud infrastructure.
