What advice would you give to young technologists on how to get the most of the IEEE membership experience?

IEEE offers a vast ecosystem of knowledge, networking and growth opportunities. My advice to young technologists is to stay active: attend conferences, join technical societies that match your interests and participate in local section events or student branches. Don’t be shy to connect with others—IEEE is a global community and meaningful collaborations often start with a simple conversation. Also, take advantage of the digital resources like IEEE Xplore and webinars—they are goldmines for learning and inspiration.

What’s the hottest technology in the next 10 years?

I believe the next decade will be defined by the convergence of AI, 6G communication, quantum computing and energy-efficient systems. Technologies like intelligent surfaces, autonomous systems and ubiquitous sensing will transform how we connect, work and live. Among them, AI-empowered wireless infrastructure could become a cornerstone for smart cities and immersive digital experiences.

In their own words

“The professional network I’ve built through IEEE events and collaborations has opened doors to new ideas, research opportunities and career advancement.”
