Solar Self Stabalizing Semi-autonomous RC Plane


The basic aim of this project is to develop an semi pilot self stabilized radio control unmanned aerial vehicle. The air craft used is an electric trainer FMS 1280 RTF 2.4 GHz.Two main objectives of this solar powered UAV. 1) To interface between RC receiver and onboard servos of air craft commonly known as Servo Control Module (SCM). It will override pilot input to the autopilot control and activates fail safe in case of signal loss or autopilot failure . 2) To enhance the flight time by using solar panel strips fixed on each wing. This allows on board charging of batteries during flight. Its main feature is self balancing using gyroscope and safe landing in case of low power supply. Cost US $750
