AutoNav is the short form for Auto Navigation robot. An Auto Navigation robot is a mobile platform of any kind of exploration robot so that it can navigates through designated way points while trying to avoid obstacles. Proposed robot comes equipped with ultra-sonic proximity range sensors that are capable of detecting obstacles in its path. It uses a positioning system (here we used GPS) to set the route from current location to destination. The on-board computer host a Linux-based operating system. Navigation and control application is incorporated with route optimization program using Dijkstra's algorithm which will be used to determine the robot?s position and navigate it to a destination point through the shortest path. This is a prototype robot and it is an automated solution for transportation of good and personnel in a wide campus. By creating an efficient operational network, it is possible to use these robots for daily basis in an organization and unlike line following or magnetic strip following autonomous robots.
