Renan Maffei (IEEE Member, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society)
Q: How is IEEE your professional home?
A: I joined the IEEE and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society as a student to attend my first robotics conference (IROS 2013). Ever since then, I have been constantly attending conferences around the world, now as a professor of mobile robotics at the university where I studied. It is mainly through IEEE vehicles that I’m able to stay informed on the most cutting edge technologies pertaining to robotics.
IEEE also provides me with a home where I can publish my research and collaborate with my peers.
IEEE is an essential part of my professional career.
