Q: What inspired you to become an engineer?

A: I have always had a passion for math and science, but it took time to find the right outlet for those passions. Engineering gave me the opportunities I needed to explore the different potential paths. I studied biomedical engineering with the goal of going to medical school out of undergraduate, but I began doing research and fell in love with the process, choosing to go to graduate school instead. During graduate school, I developed electrical and mechanical engineering skills and applied those skills to gaining a better understanding of human movement and adaptation. I now use all of those skills gained to help improve the implementation of sports technology across the world.
