Q: What inspired you to become an engineer? Were you always interested in technology? If so, why? If not, when did you become interested and why?
A: I first became interested in technology and science when I, as a ten-year-old, watched the Apollo 11 mission.
Three years later, I started a training course on electronics by mail. There was an electronics shop near my home and I purchased the components listed in the training documents that were needed to build a power supply and an audio amplifier. My younger brother and I constructed a workshop in our room, where we later utilized the purchased components to built the power supply and audio amplifier – despite shocking myself when working with the electronics materials, it was during this time that I was first inspired to become an engineer.
