Q: What inspires you today?

A: Educating physicians in training.

There is so much involved in the art of being a physician that is easily obscured by the many layers of challenging technical information. I love the challenge of breaking down nearly indigestible content and making it approachable. The most fulfilling and inspiring aspect of this, though, is helping guide a young doctor into mastery of the physics and engineering concepts of our craft so completely that its application to the human problem of medicine and what we can actually do for people with the technology comes back into focus for them.
