Q: What inspired you to become an engineer? Were you always interested in technology? If so, why? If not, when did you become interested and why?

A: I’ve always been interested in technology – growing up, I was a big fan of Isaac Asimov’s books, as well as the animated sitcom, “The Jetsons.” I also spent a lot of time as a child playing computer games and working with science kits.

Later in life, I became particularly interested in leveraging technology to improve our daily lives. Now, this interest remains, as I’m very focused on automotive control systems and autonomous and connected technologies that can help to keep our roads safer for drivers and pedestrians.
