How has IEEE helped you in your career journey?

IEEE has been instrumental in shaping my career, providing access to cutting-edge research and offering a global network of like-minded engineers and scientists. During my transition from industry to academia, IEEE publications and conferences became essential resources for me. Whether it was keeping up with emerging technologies in wireless power transfer or presenting my work on deep-implanted bioelectronics, IEEE has given me a platform to both learn and contribute. It also helped me stay connected to industry standards while pursuing advanced research, particularly in interdisciplinary fields such as medical electronics and electromagnetic compatibility.

What’s the hottest technology in the next 10 years?

The convergence of bioelectronics, wireless power transfer and AI-powered diagnostics will drive the next big wave of technological disruption, especially in healthcare. Implantable, intelligent medical devices that operate without batteries and can communicate seamlessly with external systems will revolutionize preventive medicine and remote care. Combine that with advances in soft, bioabsorbable materials and machine learning, and we’ll see devices that are not only smarter and smaller but also more integrated into the human body.
