What advice would you give to young technologists on how to get the most of the IEEE membership experience?

IEEE provides a platform for technologists of all stages of life to get involved with their field of interest. I always focused on the volunteering aspects of IEEE as it provides me with an avenue to go beyond the academics in my spare time. If you’re a college student pursuing your first degree, the best place to start is your institution’s student branch. If you’re a young professional, IEEE Young Professionals provide you with a lot of opportunities to go beyond the work that you’re doing. Reach out to your local section or region, as they are looking for eager volunteers like you!

What intrigues you right now?

I’m researching hardware and chip design using Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and I’m excited to see where the industry will be headed over the next few years!
