How has IEEE helped you in your career journey?

IEEE has amplified my research impact in immersive technologies for sustainable and human-centered Industry 5.0. conferences like IEEE Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality (AIxVR) and IEEE Virtual Reality (VR) have enabled me to bridge academia and industry discussions and connected me to collaborate with institutions in Brazil, Singapore, Finland, the United States and Portugal—and to support other researchers in doing the same.

What’s the hottest technology in the next 10 years?

The transformative technologies of the next decade will be those that augment human potential while addressing global challenges. I see a massive convergence between immersive technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, AI and edge computing—especially in the context of sustainable production, inclusive education and disruptive healthcare.
