What advice would you give to young technologists on how to get the most out of the IEEE membership experience?
IEEE is a huge organization, which makes it extremely resourceful. Everyone I’ve met at IEEE has been eager to help, however, young technologists should remember that they won’t know you need support unless you ask. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other members if you have questions. Make the most of it.
What’s keeping you busy these days?
These days I’m busy with research on how advances in AI shape what people learn about groups different from themselves — especially through news and media. What intrigues me right now is how we can design these systems to improve understanding across communities, not just optimize engagement.
