What’s the hottest technology in the next 10 years?

I believe the most transformative technology over the next decade will be the integration of artificial intelligence applied to emergencies, climate events and social assistance, combined with distributed computing. Solutions capable of predicting extreme climate events, optimizing logistical flows and supporting critical decision-making during crises will have a direct impact on saving lives. Additionally, social-impact technologies — platforms that combine data, AI and community engagement — will gain significant prominence.

How has IEEE helped you in your career journey?

IEEE has played a meaningful role in elevating and validating the work of women researchers, offering a platform where female leadership in science and technology is recognized, encouraged and amplified. This visibility has strengthened my academic and technical profile and opened doors for invitations as a reviewer, speaker and contributor to social-impact and technology-driven initiatives.
