Any technology that allows us to extract knowledge from data is an ally to diversity and inclusion. In this framework, the key-technologies are super-connectivity. By this I mean a connectivity that has broad coverage, is reliable and highly performing in terms of speed and latency. Other features of super-connectivity include Human-AI teaming and intelligent sensing.

The pandemic has shown how connectivity can be a key technology to face unpredicted circumstances. On the other hand, connectivity is by itself a neutral technology whose benefit can be higher or lower according to the capability of shaping user devices and content around user needs. By keeping those elements in mind, a flexible connectivity infrastructure, the access to the infrastructure, the user terminal interface and the contents can be targeted around the specific needs of vulnerable groups.
