Q: What inspires you today?
A: I became more keenly aware of technology advances and its impact on education when I became involved in the startup of the Denver School of Science and Technology, where we created a one-to-one laptop environment. As a kid, you think that technology gadgets are just that – cool gadgets. But more and more they are simply a tool, a means to something greater. In education the “gadgets” are now a necessary tool for learning and should be the minimum requirement for all our schools. This is also true in the workplace – don’t hold back creativity and productivity. If we equip our workforce with the tools to do great things, innovation is unstoppable.
