How has IEEE helped you in your career journey?

IEEE has been a fundamental key in my career, providing me with many opportunities through workshops and professional materials. However, nothing has been more impactful than volunteering. By connecting with a global community, I’ve been able to grow significantly as both an engineer and a person.

What’s the hottest technology in the next 10 years?

This new sixth generation of mobile networks (6G) will feature the extensive use of AI and a true immersion in augmented reality. Holography and wearable technologies (like smartwatches and rings) will transform 6G into the Internet of Senses. This will use virtual experiences to explore human senses, including the transmission of touch, taste and smell, in addition to sight and hearing.
