Q: What is the most significant impact technology will make to improve the lives of the world’s citizens in the future?

A: As a power electronics engineer, my feeling is that besides all the computing systems, fast communications, robotics and so on, without sources of clean energy we (the humans) will not go too far. So, finding ways to generate energy from renewable sources, ways to store it safely and guarantee access to all (many people still do not have access to electricity) in quantity and with high quality (guaranteed voltage and frequency), seems to be a key point for life on earth.
