Q: What inspired you to become an engineer? Were you always interested in technology? If so, why? If not, when did you become interested and why?
A: You could say I was born with an interest in technology. At age 3, my grandfather used to help me to mince old paper with a manual meat grinder while explaining to me how it was magic taking place. My mother was a great teacher and the rest of my family also supported my “experiments,” even when I’d show up with ruffled hair after a failure. LEGO, test tubes, motors and simple electric circuits paved the path to my first personal computer at age 13, which was when I started programming (I never stopped).
