Q: What inspired you to become an engineer?
A: I identify as a more scientific type of engineer. I enjoy tackling complex problems and proposing new approaches to potentially solve them. I believe humankind’s health, prosperity and happiness depend on solving problems.
My inspiration always came from inside. I started working on computer graphics when it was focused on entertainment and the first serious applications appeared. I soon realized that simulations were capable of having a very powerful and positive impact on people’s lives. Training simulations, health applications, behavior studies — I realized that they could all change how people live for the better.
